Renewal checklist

Documents you need for FSSAI renewal

Gather these before you start the renewal form on the official portal — it saves you a half-filled application.

01

Form B

The signed FSSAI renewal application, generated while filing on the FoSCoS portal.

02

Existing FSSAI license

A copy of your current license certificate with the 14-digit license number.

03

Photo ID of proprietor / partners

Aadhaar, PAN, voter ID, passport or driving licence of the people on the license.

04

Proof of business premises

Rent agreement, property papers or a recent electricity / water bill for the unit.

05

Food safety management plan

Your FSMS declaration or certificate covering hygiene and safety practices.

06

Water test report

From a recognised laboratory — needed for manufacturing and processing units.

07

List of food products

Required for manufacturers, relabellers and repackers.

08

Import Export Code (IEC)

Only if your business imports or exports food products.

Before you file

  • Apply at least 30 days before expiry — late renewals attract a penalty for every day of delay.
  • Renewals are filed online on the FoSCoS portal using your existing 14-digit license number.
  • Keep clear PDF or JPG scans of every document ready before you start the form.
  • The renewed license continues from your old expiry date, so renewing early costs you nothing.
